AI made shipping features stupidly easy. You describe it, it's live an hour later. 🚀
The catch: we started rushing.
And we let the AI make a lot of calls for us without even noticing. Layout, flows, what's on the screen, what isn't.
Fast to build doesn't mean well thought out.
So we changed how we work at Hawkscan. Here's the process now:
- Build the final UI/UX first. Fake data, zero backend. But the front end has to be finished, not a wireframe.
- Use it for real. Click around, test the flow. That's when you see what to add, what to cut, what to change.
- Screenshot it. The screenshots go straight into the brief for the AI.
- Throw the mockup away. All of it. 🗑️
- Let the AI build the real thing. Same tool, but with a mature need and a precise brief.
The mockup is never the product.
It's how we figure out what the product should be.
