Today I made dohc public ⚙️

It's an open-source desktop app I've been building, where you and your AI agents work on the same folder of files on your computer.

It's very early and still rough, but it's my first launch and I'm excited!

Keeping notes as plain local files, so you and an agent edit the same thing, is a sensible idea. How do you handle both of you editing a file at once? Does the agent write straight to disk, or is there some lock or merge step? That tends to be where this kind of setup gets awkward.

Honestly, it's so early that I'm still finding out what works myself, so expect bugs. It needs no account and runs offline. Sync needs your own server for now. Known issues: https://github.com/dohchq/dohc/issues/2558

The idea: your notes stay as local files in a folder, and your agent works on those same files with you. These files can range from markdown to tables to entire web applications. Later, you should be able to share that work with other people and their agents too.
