Why I get 1.35 Million UNIQUE Views Per Week

This experience won't change your life, until you do some hard work.

I do get millions of views on one of my efforts. I have a couple of others that do similarly that aren't tracked on PageHum.com yet, or else they would be included in the screenshot, but I'm slowly migrating off of Google Analytics, Sentry, etc to move to PageHum.

I get 1.35mil (often higher) UNIQUE views per week for Airframes (https://airframes.io) because of a few critical things that most of you won't do the hard work to do:

  1. Focus. I captured a unique and super targeted niche. It's not only just flight tracking, but it was tracking data that has airframes maintenance logs, flight plans, Out-Off-On-In data, route adjustments, weather conditions, etc. The rest of the boys were focused on ADS-B, which is all about flight positions. They focused on where. I focused on what.

  2. Effort. I spent years researching, decoding, investigating, reading, coding, building. It wasn't overnight. And I know everyone wants it overnight. AI is helping now in general, so you can do a LOT more of all those things faster, and direct your agents to do heavy lifting. But you still have to do the hard work to know what you are doing, understand your community, connect with your community, build your things, fix your things, grow your things.

  3. Money. Anything of value will almost surely not be free. If everyone could just do the free thing, then everyone will. Your special thing will cost, and you have to be willing to invest in yourself. Don't hesitate. Instead of spending on a $199 GTA 6 copy, put it on a month of Claude, or buy 20 rolls of filament for your 3D printing business. While Airframes is starting to turn a corner on profitability, I am still net-negative for many years of this investment.

  4. Network. You need other people to make you successful. I know the drill is all about the "first $1 trillion dollar solopreneur" but you are crazy to think that guy is isolated in a basement just churning on his agents and that's all he is doing to make that kind of capital (once he's real of course). People need other people to be successful. It's a fact. You need to nurture a community of other people, and you need to offer them as much (if not more) as they provide you. I'd argue that you should really be reaching out and helping others in any way possible well before you even think about asking for something. Do more for others without them asking you, and they will go leaps and bounds to do for you.

  5. The customer is always right. Yep, that means even when they're wrong, they're right. That doesn't mean let them walk all over you, but be communicative, admit when you are wrong, refund them when they are right, and give them more than they paid for.

  6. Improve. Obsess about your traffic, obsess over your server logs, obsess over the funnel coming in, obsess about bugs and security issues in dependences you haven't updated recently. Always do better. Your customers/users expect that you will keep doing better, and if you don't, they will leave!

  7. Sincerity. Care about what you are doing. If you are doing something just to make a buck, everyone will know it, and while that might not mean no customers, it will certainly show in your effort and your offering and you'll have less of them. If you want to maximize your growth, you need to give a crap. People have options, and if they think you're lazy, or not caring, or don't show up, or don't reply, or otherwise just are insincere, they're gone.

  8. Commitment. You can't give up when times get rough. You're running low on cash, you're not an expert, you're struggling to figure something out. If you give up in those trying times, you've burned the trust of your customer/user, and they're gone as if you didn't exist.

I can think of 12 more things that I will talk about in a future post. I hope this helps someone eager to get more than 1 million views this month.

While you're here, go right now and claim a free marketing listing on LandSite.ad (a "virtual plot") to advertise your product. It's a no brainer, why wouldn't you get free marketing? If no more free plots are available by the time you read this (there are only 4 free plots as I write it), you can always pay a small tiny fee that is a bit more than the previous guy to get on there.

The guy you buy from gets his money back, and actually gets up to 50% profit, giving him a chance to take the money and run, or re-list and steal someone else's plot and continue the marketing.

The focus point is the one that lands — tracking what was in the airframes, not just where they were, is a completely different product. Years of decoding work behind that 1.35M is the part people skip past.

“They focused on where. I focused on what.” That's the whole lesson in one line. Maintenance logs and OOOI data are a niche the rest left alone, and years of decoding is the moat. Respect for saying you're still net-negative; that honesty is rarer than the traffic number.

Wow, this really moved me. Especially #8. I tend to give up quickly when things get hard, but this made me feel strongly that I shouldn't neglect what I already have. Thank you for writing it Kevin!!
