Almost 1 million Unique Visitors

Last 7 days, Airframes (https://airframes.io) has had almost 1 million unique visitors. This isn't page views, it isn't sessions, it is unique visitors to the site in the last week. Of course, it's not from efforts in the last week, or even the last year. This is a site that I've been working on for many years. And…

Popular/Followed User doesn't mean Popular Products

It might be that my products are crap. It might be that my products are just not yet discovered. It also might be that it's just to early to know any of that. But one thing is clear. You can be a Leaderboard champion here on ibuildinpublic and not have products in the top 20... Or even top 30... Or even top 60! My…

Staying Focused; And Shipping

Ok let's get really raw and real right now. You are building stuff, but you are struggling to stay focused. You are struggling to make progress because the whole internet tells you to click something, shift focus, look at a thing, read an article, scroll a social media. You and I both know it's not helping us. Thos…

ibuildinpublic.com

This one is super easy. A "what worked" that I almost don't even have to say out loud. Yes, that's making an account on ibuildinpublic.com, listing my products, interacting with other users, and publishing posts. Why has it worked? Because I'm getting a lot of engagement, visits to my posts and profile, and interact…

Grinding...

I'm currently grinding hard at adding some really insane agentic support for Velocity. It already had agent support, but I'm working towards making it fully autonomous (and configurable) and I think it'll be really cool when it's done. Of course, I'm dog fooding my own stuff, so it solves my own problems first. But,…

100 Lifetime User Giveaway

This isn't a lesson learned, or a lesson failed. This is an active marketing effort. I am building up the waitlist for a macOS app I'm about to release. It will be paid (in some manner) but the first 100 users to get on the waitlist will get a free lifetime license. https://x.com/kevinelliott/status/2110943811975463…

Responding to Messages/Emails

I learned a hard lesson a long time ago. If you don't answer people's feedback, email, messages, etc they will get annoyed and not think about you and your products in the future. This seems like one of those "duh" that's obvious things, but I can't tell you how many companies, teams, and individuals that fail at thi…

Nobody Wants My Money

I spent 2 hours on X trying to give away $25 and it resulted in failure. Even my friends didn't jump on it. Literally I said "like/share this post" to get a $1. And if nobody even tried, the first to do it would get the full $25 pot. Even once the timeout happened (2 hours after I first started), nobody tried to cl…

Lesson Learning: Free cash

Offering fresh cash just to like+share an X post. https://x.com/kevinelliott/status/2109890455345504550 I hope you're in the batch of 25. I'm doing this to test the X Money system... will likely do this again for more specific incentives.

PageHum Lifetime for Limited Subs

I'm about to launch a very, very limited selection of lifetime subscriptions for PageHum to 20 users of the Pro and the Ultra tiers. This is to promote the offering, and it will of course lock these 40 users into lifetime access for these tiers without continued monthly/annual charges. While @acadictive and I have di…

Easy AI Copy Prompt buttons for PageHum

Currently adding lots of "Copy Prompt" buttons for PageHum, so that when issues are detected you are able to easily send the errors/issues to your agent to quickly get resolved with some suggestions.

Success with PageHum

I use to use Google Analytics as my primary analytics source. Until it got weird and strange. It use to just be easy, and then they complicated it. Then I tried a bunch of other tools, and either got frustrated with those or thought their pricing was nuts (like maple.dev; I like the founder - great dude, but hate the…

AI Agentic Development

I'm a 30+ year veteran software engineer. The use of AI agents has changed my life... for the better and worse. Let's get the worse out of the way, and then I'll list the better. WORSE I have to constantly correct the agent to do what I want it to. Sometimes it's because I was too vague, but sometimes it was be…

Velocity Leaderboard

To increase the marketing effort for Velocity, but also its customers, I just launched a Leaderboard. This allows opt-in participation from Velocity workspaces to share their performance (how much they are getting done), while also giving them a little marketing boost. My hope is that this helps expose more products…

Chicken and Egg

Years ago, when I first started Airframes, there was a lot of contention between having the content users need, and having users to provide the content. Airframes is a community-driven, community-sourced data platform that requires not only user participation, but also requires the technical knowledge to setup the dev…

Introducing Velocity

I've been working on Velocity for a bit now, and use it extensively for every single one of my products as a solopreneur. I have many businesses, and if I was just sitting in the agent terminals all day developing 10+ products without it, I'd be lost. Velocity allows me to keep everything organized, while also keepin…

Now a Premium user here

I love supporting my friends, especially when they outbuild me. I was once building garage.dev but kind of ignored and gave up on it. Ehsan launched ibuildinpublic in a way that I think is just so much better. Now I'm a paying customer. Thanks my friend!

PageHum now has API/MCP

Just like I encouraged @yusuke to add API/MCP to Landing Boost and then I immediately integrated it into PageHum, I've now added API/MCP to PageHum itself, so others can do similar. Exciting to see if anyone else integrates today. https://pagehum.com/docs/mcp https://pagehum.com/docs/api
