Early sign-ups for OriginForge Connect are open today. It's a free pixel-art town in the browser: explore, fish, farm, mine, dig for treasure and work towards your own home. Sign up at https://originforgeconnect.com and get an in-game gift when you first log in on the 31st, when the game opens.

A free town you can just open in the browser is an easy yes — no install wall to bounce off. The in-game gift for logging in on the 31st is a smart reason to show up on day one.

The in-game gift for first log-in is a smart hook, it gives sign-ups a reason to actually show up on the 31st instead of forgetting. Curious how many of the early sign-ups return once the town opens, that gap is usually where these launches live or die.

A free pixel-art town is a fun way to warm people up before launch. The first-login gift on the 31st gives people a real reason to come back. Nice touch.
