There are milestones you plan for, and then there are moments that feel special when they finally happen.
Today, I received the first payment for my first product, xReach.lol
It might sound like a small achievement, but for me, it means much more than the amount of money that came in.
From writing code to building a business
When I started building xReach, I was focused on bringing an idea to life. I wanted to build a marketplace that connects advertisers with creators on X, making it easier for brands to reach the right audience and for creators to discover paid opportunities.
As a solo builder, I had to work through different parts of the product, from designing the user experience and developing features to figuring out integrations and preparing everything for launch.
But building the product was only one part of the journey.
Getting everything ready, finding the right payment partner, dealing with unexpected roadblocks, and thinking about how people would actually use the product taught me that building a business involves much more than writing code.
There were moments when progress felt slow. There were things I had to figure out on my own, and plenty of questions I didn't have immediate answers to.
Still, I kept going.
Then came the first payment
When I saw the first payment come through, my reaction was simple: this feels different.
Until that moment, xReach was something I had been building, improving, and preparing for people to use. Now, someone had actually paid for it.
That small transaction changed how I looked at the product.
It wasn't just about an idea I had worked on or features I had built. It was a moment of validation that someone was willing to put money behind what I had created.
I'm not saying one payment proves that a business will succeed. There is still a long way to go, plenty to improve, and a lot to learn.
But that first payment gave me something valuable: the feeling that I'm moving in the right direction.
And honestly, it made my day.
Why this milestone matters to me
This is my first product. Every step has been a learning experience, from turning an idea into something people can use to figuring out the practical challenges of running a business.
The first payment won't change everything overnight. It doesn't mean the hard part is over, and it certainly doesn't guarantee what comes next.
But it gives me a memory I'll carry with me as I continue building.
Someday, if xReach grows into something much bigger, I want to remember this moment, when the first payment arrived and all the effort suddenly felt a little more real.
What's next?
I'm going to keep improving xReach, listen to feedback, learn from users, and work toward making the platform genuinely useful for both advertisers and creators.
For now, I'm allowing myself to enjoy this small win before getting back to work.
If you're building your first product, you probably know how much time, effort, and uncertainty go into getting something out into the world.
And if you're still waiting for your first customer or payment, keep learning and keep moving forward. Everyone's journey looks different.
Today, I'm celebrating my first payment.
One product. One first payment. A memory I'll always remember.
Back to building xReach. 🚀
