I'd take part — the people who actually try the product and write real feedback are the ones doing the work, and right now they get nothing for it. Featuring their products the next week is a fair trade.

Featuring the most helpful people's products the following week is a nice reversal: the feedback itself becomes the way in. The hard part will be measuring "helpful" in a way that can't be farmed with quick, empty replies.
