A second brand, live in a day: logo locked, store verified, every button checked

Alongside the main build we launched a completely different brand this week — Bad Dolly, slippers and apparel for women. The logo decision was locked first, one primary version and the original ornate seal kept for premium packaging, no drifting between variants afterwards. Then the store went live and we checked it t…

I'm curious... Has anyone found an AI model that's REALLY good at UI/UX design? Most models can generate working interfaces, but getting something visually impressive is a different story 😅 Which model has given you the best results so far?

Build update on Pact. Still a weekend prototype, built for the GSD hackathon. The most useful thing since has been the discipline around it: every next step the agent proposes waits for a yes before anything moves. That idea is the product. withpact.vercel.app

Launched FreshBid this week: a fair launch platform for startups in their first 90 days. No votes, no paid spots. Launched recently? The first 10 founders join free. Feedback on the idea is just as welcome 🌱

Clear dead stock before Black Friday without teaching shoppers to wait

A clearance price set in late October is a price signal your shoppers remember in late November. So the clean way to clear dead stock before Black Friday is the opposite of a store-wide sale. The five rules we use: Aim at the item: days since the last sale and weeks of cover. Only products bad on both. Put a f…

Swift concurrency checking can pass while a cancellation handoff still loses a request. I wrote up the Nuke and Kingfisher cases, matched repairs, and the limits of the evidence. Report + fixtures: https://github.com/EhsanAzish80/swift-concurrency-repairs

Lesson learnedNov 6

small cleanup

The older an app gets, the more careful I become with a ‘small cleanup.’ A button that looks redundant may be someone’s entire workflow. When I return to an old app, I watch the behavior before refactoring the code.

52 companies now warn their AI agents may go off-script. One in four copied the warning

A year ago no public company told the SEC that an AI agent might take a wrong action, act without permission, or step outside its scope. Now 52 do. The first was Tenable, on 4 November 2025; since then Microsoft, Alphabet, Meta, Apple and Bank of America have written it in. I pulled every 10-K, 10-Q and 20-F in the S…

Good to see Apple engineers joining the MCP Swift SDK effort. I’ve been working with the team on bug fixes and protocol gaps as we move toward a Tier 1 SDK. There’s more to do, but it’s good to see the project moving again. https://github.com/modelcontextprotocol/swift-sdk

What worked building Pact in a weekend

Last weekend I built Pact, a Chrome extension that puts Claude in the side panel to think and Fo (an AI assistant) to act, so a good idea turns into a booked next step instead of a note you forget. Two days, an empty folder, and a live site at withpact.vercel.app at the end of it. What worked was one rule: Pact pro…

Building something? You need, exposure!

Go right now, before there are no more free plots, to landsite.ad and register your site/product/app/whatever right now. Literally just 4 free plots left. Owners of a plot will eventually be bought out by people willing to spend to take your spot. And when that happens, you get paid a cut of that. But in the meanti…

iOS share sheet

An iOS share sheet can open successfully and still fail to share the file. I hit this while testing an export flow this week. The app created a temporary file. The share sheet appeared normally. The receiving app started importing it—and then the file disappeared before the read finished. Nothing was wrong with the sh…
